The Guinea Fowl

The wheelbarrow’s screeching noise

cries out sorrowfully

the twilight begins quickly

for the guinea fowl.

He’s watching — and that’s late -

To him a companion,

spent in a tree the loneliness

and the night time

Together in a shiny leaflet tree

half sleep, half watch, half dream,

and at the seam of condemnation,

not to die alone

I aimed, and with the blast

one guinea fowl fell

forceful the companion flies

off in the night time
