The place where humanity dwells is silent

They sleep in my town
The white lilies, the tuberoses and the roses,
My soul so disturbed and sad
I want to hide my bitter pain from them.

I don’t want the people to know
The torments that Corona gives me.
If they knew what I’m suffering
They would cry for my sorrows too.

Silence, they are sleeping
The tuberose and the lilies.
I don’t want them to know our sorrows
Because if they see me crying, they will die too.

Authors Note: It is now Day 8 in the South African lockdown. The decay in Humanity and the Environment is visible. People stay in the house. Streets are empty, churches are closed, sports facilities postponed and the festive and joy of humanity have disappeared. Dirt and rubbish accumulating. We pray to God that he will forgive our sins, remove this curse and restore what has been lost.

Love to touch those that I love again!
