Princesse Lointaine
(Princess of far)
Were you a rose blossom
And I the scent of your rose
How wonderful life would be
floating around you.
Glowing on your bosom,
Enchanted by your brilliance.
Were you a rose blossom
And I the scent of your rose
Were you a song’s lyrics
And I the melody.
That would glorify our day
Your beauty so desirable;
The night trembles with chords
Sweetest harmony
Were you a song’s lyrics
And I the melody.
Were you the highest cliff,
And I the first morning light
Your cheeks I would then brush
And paint your lips
With my first morning glimpse
And the last sunset greeting
Were you the highest cliff
And I the twilight
But you’re Princess of Far
And I, a poet;
Even my hymns radiate
Of love and yearning,
- The Firefly for the stars -
That leads me to heaven
You, Princess of Far
And I, a poet
