Een Oomblik In Tyd. Afskeid Van ‘n Geliefde

Mammie, soos die berg is jy nog elke dag in my gedagte wereld en leef jy nog saam met my. Mammie ek het jou lief! Krediet Monique Naude

Mammie

Ek is lief vir jou,
Maar nou is daar slegs stilte.
Jou teenwoordigheid is altyd daar.
Asof jy nooit weg was nie.

En volg my waar ek gaan.

Jy is steeds langs my,

Somerdae is baie kort.

Alhoewel Mammie, ver weg is,
Gaan die herinneringe aan en aan.

Jou gees het nooit gesterf nie
En skyn soos die sterre.
Ek weet jy woon in die hemel,
Maar Mammie, leef in my hart.
My lieflike vlinder.

One Moment In Time. Saying Goodbye To a Beloved.

Mamma, like the sun, sea and sand you are always in my memory. I love you, mom! Credit Monique Naude

I was making a new road, near the resting place where my son, Eddie’s body was pausing. The memories of him made me think of all our family and friends that have gone before us. The brothers, sisters, and parents were all in my mind, as were our Moms. I again realized how important our Moms were and the honour we always have to bring them.
To go on in life after the death of a loved one is unbearable. Everything changed. The simple things that were once part of every day have ended, and sometimes putting one foot in front of the other feels impossible. There is no answer to “I love you” or anyone you can hold. The nights are long and lonely, but even though every part of life has changed, love never fades. The sweet memories we shared with our loved ones continue to exist.

Mamma

I love you,
But now there is only silence.
Your presence is always there.
As if you were never gone.

I can still hear the comfort in your opinion.
Your soft voice.
Echoes from the past
And follow me wherever I go.

You’re still next to me,
But I can’t hold you.
The reason God took you
It is difficult to understand.

Summer days are brief.
Nights just too long.
Dreams bear witness to the loss
If the one you love disappears.

True love never goes away.
It burns like the sun.
Even though you are Mamma, far away,
The memories go on and on.

Your spirit never died
And shine like the stars.
I know you live in heaven,
But you, Mamma, live in my heart.
My lovely Butterfly
