Do you think I radiate evil?
Talk to those who believe
Everyone is courteous, has no dark side
Beautiful women, I break their flow.
But I remain faithful.
With you, I’m never melancholy
I want you to be my girlfriend
Just go ahead and say it, yes we will
You are gentle and fragile.
Now let me send this letter
I’d love to hear your opinion
From the outside, you are so friendly
The dogs only eat in distress.
Bird’s greed is satisfied with seed
Flowers from your garden bloom in your hair
I can stare at you, admiring
Please hold my hand
The sum of emotion
Be my Goddess, and I am your Preceptor
Or am I just
insane?
I need to take you as my companion
To be happy in this life
Don’t say it can’t be
I beg for mercy, please!
I bow before you, worship you
Kiss your ankles, touch your toes
Help me, beautiful child, and I must find love
What lies in my understanding here
Is your heart so inequitable?
It causes me so much anxiety
I love you, girlfriend
Please don’t push me away
Oh, please take this ring
Before we have a picnic in the woods,
Or lie still in each other’s arms
I love it very much
Please choose this guy
Though not a prince.
Flushed with a troubled mind
A dream you will find his soul
He is now a Saviour follower
Hell-fire and back, run this guy
To find a petal for hot metal
To prepare your food
Like a slave, I surrender in distress
Oh, hold my hand, my bleeding heart
I want you
Being with me kisses my face
But if you want to be my girlfriend
Then I lend my body to you
Never meant to say it
Go now, girl, be on your way !!
Authors Note: A friend, a brilliant Chemical Engineer, wrote me a letter explaining his problems when he never married. He told me that his father, an excellent doctor, committed suicide in 1980. Recently at the age of 54, he was diagnosed with cancer and that life has passed him. He hasn’t made peace with his body. It has been a central, recurring theme to his destiny in life. His height, as pathetic as it may seem, has affected the way people view his status in society and reason not to find a woman. My friend blames his paranoid, demonic aggression and psychopathic tendencies on his family history and his perceived manliness. Many adults don’t take him seriously merely because he is short, and that includes women.
“They don’t even take my problem seriously when I tell them about it. They say I’m immature or that I’ve got a complex / short-man syndrome. They try to put me in my place in society. I am almost always the shortest guy wherever I go, and even some next-shortest guys put me down. A short guy in the gym told me that if a woman has to choose, no matter how good my body might be, she will prefer a taller man.”
“Of course, he was taller than me, and he said it was his wife who told him that. And you know what, the truth hurts me. What he said was true. Women prefer tallish men, almost without exception.”
There are a million and one reasons we can feel unworthy of feeling good. So many of the people have worked through limiting beliefs like these, finding that there is light, innocence, wildness, sensuality and pleasure on the other side for everyone. All it takes is remembering your true nature for a magnificent moment, and beginning to take the time, maybe even just five minutes a day, to come back to and grow the wild, free man or woman you are.
Because I know this Chemical Engineer so well, I wrote the poem on his behalf.
